Vernisáž Jacobo Blandón: Hrdinové

Do 30.9.2017 bude v Latin Art Gallery, Jungmannova 3, Praha 1, v obou patrech přístupná velmi zajímavá výstava obrazů kolumbijského malíře Jacobo Blandóna: Hrdinové.

Autor k výstavě píše:

„Odvaha: Odvaha čelit životu je jedním z nejzřetelnějších rysů hrdiny, protože by nemohl být nazván hrdinou, pokud by se bál a nepustil do žádného dobrodružství. Hrdina má vždy dostatek odvahy čelit problémům života i svému vlastnímu osudu.“

Archetyp hrdiny –  takový, jenž vyjadřuje lásku skrze akt odvahy, odhodlání a oběti za sebe či za velikou věc. Řídí se univerzálními hodnotami, které se vztahují k cyklu života: narození, smrt a obnova života. V této sérii obrazů mi nejde o Hrdinu ze školních sešitů nebo památníků, ale o nejdůležitější část jeho lidské a pozemské podstaty, jejíž význam je vzdálený mýtu nebo soše. Hrdina musí být statečný, upřímný, musí myslet na ostatní, mít hodnoty, být sebevědomý a sledovat své cíle bez ohledu na překážky. Musí mít vynikající inteligenci, která mu umožňuje řešit hádanky a problémy, podrobovat se různým zkouškám a jiným druhům soutěží, z nichž hrdina vždy vychází vítězně…

Jacobo Blandón o sobě:

I was born in 1987 in the Colombian city of Medellin. I studied Fine Arts at the University of Antioquia, and then Industrial Design at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, both institutions located in my hometown. My work is based on a strong conceptual and formal investigation of art and design. Looking for the integration of these two disciplines, working on two major projects: one purely artistic and other called conceptual design. To formalize my work goes through different construction methods two and three dimensions. Starting with the most artisan methods, and then specializing in new manufacturing tools and digital manipulation. As 3D modeling, rendering and CNC machining parts. My work goes through illustration, sculpture and design objects for artistic purposes. My thinking underpins their bases on the theories of the thinkers of semiotics, mainly Charles Sanders Peirce and Umberto Eco, and aesthetic ideas of Martin Heidegger. My work is strongly influenced by the work and thought of the first artists of the minimalist and conceptualist movement of the 60s and 70’s in New York as Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Carl Andre and Sol Lewitt. So mixing formal and conceptual art, and design functionally I comes to reaching the poetic form of matter, seeking the key choice of color and shape to find the essentials of life and existence. And being able to know how to choose among the large amount of items and works with which postmodernism has come, what I really need and touches the individual and collective spirit.
